Master Tim Hill 7th Degree World Master
I have been practising Tae Kwon-Do since November 19th 1991. My journey started in an organisation called the UKTA and I am proud to say that I was graded up to my 1st degree black belt by Grand Master Rhee Ki Ha, one of the founders right hand men, and the instructor who brought Tae Kwon-do to the UK in 1967.
When I acquired my 1st Dan grading I moved organisations to the TAGB and I have been training in this organisation and with my present instructor since 1993.
During my journey I have acquired numerous qualifications and grades to bring me to my present rank of 6th Degree Master.
I have been teaching Tae Kwon-Do now since 1995 and have had schools all over the Gloucestershire area, and am now the proud to be the chief instructor of both Stroud and Gloucester TAGB schools.
Here, along with the help of our senior instructors and senior students, we teach a traditional style of Tae Kwon-Do that has been renowned for is dynamics, efficiency and proficiency in the world of Martial Arts.
It is my aim to teach this martial art to all abilities that wish to learn and who will benefit from the skills this art has to offer.
Mrs Anja Hill 5th Degree Black Belt
I started my journey in Tae Kwon Do when I took my son along to a class back in April 2003 so that he could gain some confidence as he was being bullied in school. I trained alongside him and we progress together and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Although my son moved onto other activities, I continued to train and gained my 4th degree black belt in 2017
I am now the instructor and child development officer for the Kicksmart Tigers and I use what I have learned to help develop the younger children to gain the benefits from this martial arts.
My training is still very important to me and I will always have the thirst to learn and be the best I can be for myself and my student.
Mr Mat Edwards 5th Degree Black Belt
I began Tae Kwon Do in South Wales with the UKTA whilst studying at University in Swansea. I made it to 3rd Kup in this organisation before switching to the TAGB when moving to Cirencester in 1998.
I gained my 1st Dan in 2001 and have progressed to 4th Dan by 2017. My current goals include growing my instructors Stroud school by encouraging fellow students and leading by example, to run my own club when the right opportunity presents itself and on a personal level to achieve my 5th Dan before I turn 50.
Mr Mark Cuss 4th Degree Black Belt
I started training in Tae Kwon – Do in January 2005 because initially I wanted to improve my fitness and raise my confidence, which was quite low.
I have consistently trained since then and now hold a 4th degree black belt, as well as being a fully qualified umpire, referee and Assistant Instructor.
Through my training, I have seen not only my original goals of fitness and confidence be realised, but also other unforeseen benefits, such as a more positive attitude, better communication skills and improved focus.
Tae Kwon – Do has helped me achieve so much and I honestly believe I wouldn’t be where I am today if it weren’t for my martial arts training.
Mr Paul Orford 4th Degree Black Belt
Miss Charlotte Nelson 3rd Degree Black Belt
I started Taekwondo on 28th April 2008 when I was 7 years old. I have trained with the Stroud Club for over eleven years now, ever since I first started.
I worked my way up through the colour belts and achieved my black belt when I was 15 years old. Once I was a black belt, I decided that I wanted to pass on my knowledge of Taekwondo to the other students at my club so I took a course to become an assistant instructor.
I am now a 3rd Degree black belt and I am training for my 4th Dan.
